J&J Contractors, Inc. was selected through the State of Massachusetts DCAM competitive bid program as the general contractor for the addition and renovations to the William Gould Vinal Elementary School in Norwell, MA.
The Vinal Elementary School scope of work required the renovation of existing classrooms and the addition of a 34,000 SF structure. The additional areas included the production of new classroom and bathroom spaces.
The site-work segment of the project scope included heavy site developments and landscaping work around the perimeter of the school.
The project was challenged when J&J encountered asbestos and lead paint during the interior renovations and petroleum contaminated soil during the excavation portion of the site-work.
