Project Description:

J&J Contractors, Inc. was selected through the State of Massachusetts DCAM competitive bid program as the general contractor for the new Wilson Middle School in Natick, MA.

The Wilson Middle School project involved the construction of a new 2-story, 140,000 SF middle school building. The new school’s scope of work included the construction of numerous general classrooms, an auditorium, a gymnasium, a library, and associated site-work.  J&J self performed the concrete work, the rough carpentry, and the finish carpentry work related to the middle school.

A number of unexpected challenges sprung into the project as construction activities progressed including encountered asbestos, lead paint and petroleum contaminated soil during the demolition of the existing building. Each challenge was handled in a timely and efficient manner as to not delay the contract completion date.
