J&J Contractors, Inc. was contracted by the City of Lynn to construct a new police station to serve as the new Lynn Police Department Headquarters in Lynn, MA.
The 58,000 SF, 3 story tall building serves as a do-it-all training center for the City of Lynn Police Department, as it was designed and constructed with a full fitness center, shower complex, and a five-person interior shooting range for the officers.
Also within the confines of the police headquarters is a 40-person inmate holding area with cells, a 2 car sally port, and a community assembly hall – which is open to the public.
For safety, the building is equipped with a state of the art security system and a full building generator.
J&J Contractors, Inc. self performed the site-work and finish carpentry on the project. The site-work required the removal of ledge and arsenic and petroleum contaminated soil. Also, an earth support system was required for the foundation of the building.
