J&J Contractors, Inc. was selected through the State of Massachusetts DCAM competitive bid program as the general contractor for the addition and renovations of the Edgartown Elementary School.
Edgartown Elementary School is located in Edgartown, MA, on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. Martha’s Vineyard is not connected to the main land via bridge or tunnel; as a result the delivery of materials and power to the island was a major challenge throughout the duration of construction activities.
Throughout the course of construction the school was entirely occupied by students and staff. J&J complete the final phased renovation portion of construction in August of 2003 thus allowing the school to kick off their first day of classes in standard fashion.
